Where my heart is....

Psalms 4:
For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by stringed instruments.

Answer me when I call, O God who declares me innocent. Take away my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make these groundless accusations? How long will you pursue lies? Interlude

You can be sure of this: The LORD has set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him.

Don't sin by letting anger gain control over you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude

Offer proper sacrifices, and trust in the LORD.

Many people say, "Who will show us better times?" Let the smile of your face shine on us, LORD.

You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and wine.

I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

The next couple of weeks....

The next couple of weeks will be stressful, with school...So little blogging, but I am hoping to share some stuff that I have and am reading for school. The first thing is for my correction class, I am reading a book called NewJack. Here is a part that stood out in my readings....

Strangely enough, in view of this class[The class is a class named Interpersonal Communication], we had been told never to communicate with the handful of inmates who worked in the Academy. Some where there every day, ladling out our food in the mess-hall line; we grew to recognize their faces....The inmates kept their eyes down as they did the scut work, emptying ashtrays and wiping the urine from toilets. Never talk to them, we where ordered. Do not engage them in any way. So we recruits ignored these inmates, tried to treat them as if the didn't exist. It was an odd way to begin a job that supposedly depended upon communication.

More to come....

So where have I been...

That is a good question. I am actually on my thanksgiving break from school. So this means less time on the my laptop and more time with real people like Hani, Ho, and Ryan (Wednesday Night!!!). I have not been blogging to because I have been busy with Rh's move, if you are in the neighborhood you have to check it out. With politics I have been taking a break, still reading stuff and for Hani's sake some liberal blogs like daily Kos, Liberal Oasis, and talkleft. So happy early thanksgiving and enjoy some turkey.

P.S: Rather is out.....

Is this guy really serious....

The UN was helpful towards the effort in Iraq.... This has to be the most outrages thing I have heard, its more outrages then hearing Kerry say "I have a plan". This is what Sec. Gen. Kofi Annan has told my favorite newspaper (yah right) NYT. Here is what he said towards the end of the article... Someone remind this guy that he called this war illegal.....

"Without being boastful," he said, "I think that except for these activities of ours, we would not have moved as far as we have, whether it was the establishment of an interim Iraqi government or the preparation for the elections. I think our role has been essential, and not one that is played by an organization that is irrelevant."

What a week...

If this not a week of news I don't know what is...

Second: Arafat death...WOW this is another story that I don't know to say except please remember that this guy was not all the glory without the gory. We hearing about deals with his crazy wife ($22 million per a year) for what.... Read the story here. Part 2

Third: Ill be blogging less because apparently all my Profs. decided to make sure that next week everything is their classes is due. So ill have fun writing a memo about the Patriot Act, a paper and Sing Sing, and finally a practical police report about a burglary rape incident. How fun...

A humble assessment of the Euporean Policy....

This comes via powerline, this is important, may be this is a shift in Euporean policy towards the war on terror.

Read the Story here.

Veterans Day... Thank You.

Unity, what unity

The beauty of democracy....

Read it here.

A view about the election from Egypt...

This comes via Big Pharaoah, check this out....

Anyway, I want to tell you something interesting. Al Arabiyah channel ran a poll on its website asking Arab readers to choose between Bush and Kerry. Readers were also allowed to vote via email. The final number was something like 42% for Bush 58% for Kerry. I personally doubt this 42% that Bush got because it is too high! Anyway, the channel then classified the votes based upon countries and guess what was the ONLY Arab country that voted for Bush in a landslide? Iraq. 80% of Iraqi emails went for Bush.

Check out the rest here

The last hours in the Kerry Campaign...

This comes via Radio Blogger, I know the news come out and Elizabeth Edwards health, but it is really interesting to see how Edwards (the lawyer) was thinking on Nov2nd.

According to different press reports, even up to the point Kerry called the President to concede, it was Edwards who kept telling him not to do it. He wanted to let the lawyers do their thing. Kerry, to his credit, did the math and stopped the madness.

Read the rest of the post.

My words...

This is my prospective about the election, sorry that it came late but I had a paper due...the first part was written on Wed afternoon after the Pres. Acceptance speech:
I have to say that the past month has been really interesting. I started on a mission to be educated about this election, not that I was not in the past two elections that I voted in. I wanted to give a reason for the hope and truth with grace and humility as my faith teaches me. I have to say that throughout out my life, the one thing I noticed is that I tend to fall back on my politics to justify my faith, but this year its different. My faith was a major force behind me getting more educated about the election. I started read more people and to this I have my older, smarter, and my I say much better looking brother (Hani aka Senior) to thank. THANK YOU HANI!!! Election night was fun and I wish we where not on the phone...

To the Republicans...

This election was an election also that I realized would change the political atmosphere, for that reason I was excited. Some the Rep. have a the presidency, the senate (10 seats up) and the Congress (231 seats), which means that their is a responsibility for them do some house cleaning in the government. LISTEN, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY MORE EXCUSES.....change is needed.

A win in Iraq is important and we need to pray for that, by I win I mean a free election that doesn't turn Iraq into an Iran....

Supreme Court is also important, the majority of the academic world, at least here at CSUF believe that Ranquiest will not be able to swear in Bush. So let's be smart about it.

The economy it is picking up and the market is going up, but still the spending needs to go down, Republics are in control and they need to balance the budget and it starts with the spending

Its not over I think there has to be a move from the Republicans to reach out and unity. I think it is important we have to go after the hearts, minds, and souls of the other 48% of voters. Hopefully they will..

To the democrats:

America spoke and I think you need to listen. Your party is in trouble and my fear is that you will move to the left not to the center. Please listen I beg you.

Iraq is needed, Tax cuts are good, and Faith is important....

Final this is an end of a long month, I don't know what to do after this but still I am excited about this blog and how its coming out. So remember to pray for the Pres, cabinet, and DC....
